This past weekend, Daniel flew home to Chicago to attend the 2013 Illinois State Championships. He’s coming back with some very strong top 10 finishes! Congrats and way to represent, Daniel!

Despite the AZ State Tournament being held on the same weekend, we still had a nice turnout for our warm-up event. Our tournament director, Phil, would like to thank all the players who showed up and those who helped throughout the weekend.

This past Tuesday marked the end of our first Tuesday DYP Points Race. Over the 9 weeks, we had 47 different local foosers show up to participate – WOW! We’re growing! Thank you to each and every one who showed up and supported the new Tuesday night tournaments. Also, a big thank you goes out to Dana for designing and making the trophy for us – we all love it!
As one of the organizers, I definitely noticed 2 big things that made the DYPs extra special (in no particular order):
Tuesday night tournaments will continue, and we will definitely be having another points race in the future.

Only 3 more weeks to go before our first Tuesday DYP Points Race comes to an end. It looks like a close race for all the categories, so the next several weeks will prove exciting!
Several people have asked about potential tie-breaks. We’ve decided on the following tie-break rules:
In case of a tie, the following tie-break rules will apply. This applies to the Top Attendance category as well.
- # of bonus points vs. # of attendance points – Player with more bonus points wins.
- winning record – Player with more 1st place finishes wins. If a tie still exists, the player with more 2nd place finishes wins, and so on.
